To establish Namad as one of the leading international art galleries, celebrating diversity, cultural heritage, and creativity, while nurturing a sense of unity and understanding among art enthusiasts worldwide.
Vision
Our Story
Namad Gallery draws its name from the Persian word 'Namad,' meaning felt, a material deeply woven into Afghanistan's cultural heritage. Founded by Marzia Panahi in 2020, Namad began its journey, envisioning a fusion of Afghan artistry with the contemporary world, and use Namad as the canvas for paintings. We started by providing a platform for local artists to showcase their talent on this unique canvas, propelling a fusion of tradition and modernity. Namad quickly expanded, crafting diverse items like walnut wood Chess boards in addition to paintings. Namad's artworks gained national and regional recognition, evolving from a local initiative to a recognized brand. Notably, Namad's pieces were chosen by several entities as gifts for their esteemed guests and delegates, symbolizing Afghanistan's rich artistry. However, this chapter of Namad's story saw a crucial conclusion in August 2021 due to the political changes in Afghanistan.
Now, we are an officially registered gallery in Germany since April 2024, and our VR Gallery has been online since September 2023.
